Ingredients

  • 2 bottles (750 ml each) rosé wine chilled
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust for heat preference
  • 1 teaspoon honey or simple syrup

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cup

Method

  1. Pour the chilled rosé wine into a measuring cup to measure about 1.5 liters, then transfer it to your blender jar.
  2. Add the ice cubes to the blender, filling it to the top to ensure a frosty texture.
  3. Sprinkle the cayenne pepper over the wine and ice, then drizzle the honey on top for a touch of sweetness and spice.
  4. Secure the lid on the blender, then blend on high for about 30 seconds until the mixture is smooth, icy, and well combined, with a slightly frothy appearance.
  5. Stop the blender and check the consistency; if it’s too thick, add a splash of rosé and blend briefly to loosen it. Conversely, add more ice for a firmer slush if needed.
  6. Pour the slushie mixture into glasses, allowing the icy, vibrant pink liquid to cascade in layers.
  7. Garnish each glass with a slice of citrus or a sprig of mint if desired, then serve immediately with a straw or spoon to enjoy the frozen, spicy-refreshing drink.

Notes

For a milder spice, reduce the cayenne pepper; for more heat, add a pinch more. Best enjoyed immediately for optimal icy texture.
