Ingredients

  • 2 cups blue raspberry juice (frozen or chilled) preferably unsweetened or lightly sweetened
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup or honey adjust to taste
  • 1 cup ice cubes crushed or whole

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Funnel (optional)

Method

  1. Measure out the blue raspberry juice and pour it into the blender.
  2. Add the simple syrup or honey to the blender, which will help balance the tartness and sweetness of the slushie.
  3. Toss in the ice cubes, making sure they are evenly distributed around the liquid ingredients for smooth blending.
  4. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high until the mixture is thick, slushy, and has a vibrant blue color, about 30-45 seconds.
  5. Stop the blender and check the consistency; if it's too thick, add a splash of water or more juice and blend briefly to loosen it.
  6. Pour the slushie into glasses, or use a funnel to fill smaller cups if desired, ensuring an even, icy texture in each serving.
  7. Serve immediately with a straw or small spoon to enjoy the crisp, icy texture and bright flavor.

Notes

For a more intense blue color, add a few drops of blue food coloring before blending. Using frozen juice enhances the icy texture without diluting the flavor. Enjoy right away for the best experience.
